Thank you to each and every volunteer at the Friends of the Norfolk Public Library Annual Book and Bake Sale!

This sale is the result of a year-long process…
- Cleaning and sorting donated books.
- Hauling books from donation locations to the Friends’ Sorting Salon to the storage trailer and then finally to Freeman-Kennedy School.
- The book sale is discussed and planned.
- A map of the location is designed.
- Flyers are posted advertising the sale.
- Stuff is carried from here to there and back again.
- Tables are setup, signs are made and set on every table.
- Treats are baked and sold.
- Books are displayed, tallied, sold.
- Books are cleared away, tables are broken down, and the space is returned from book sale to school gym.
- – (How many steps didn’t get listed?)
None of that would be possible without the dozens of individuals who volunteered hours of their time to support the Friends and their efforts to help fund the Norfolk Public Library so they can provide programs and resources to the community.
Thank you, all.

How to Donate Books to next year’s Sale
Did you know that books you put in those book collections bins in the town do not go to the Friends’ Book Sale? If you want your book donation to support the Norfolk Public Library, you have two ways to donate:
During the Library’s normal hours, bring your book donation to the Friends’ book closet.
Bring your books to the painted wooden shed for the Friends of the Library at the Transfer Station on Wednesdays or Saturdays, when the Transfer Station is open. Address: 33 Medway Branch, Norfolk, MA 02056.
Please donate books in good condition (consider if you would buy the book in the condition that it’s in). This includes gently used hardcover and paperback books. We also accept CDs and DVDs in good condition as well as games and puzzles with all pieces.
Support your Library and its Programs.

| DIDN’T GET TO THE BOOK SALE? Did you know that volunteers for the Friends of the Norfolk Public Library fill the shelves for our ongoing book sale every week? This is a great way to pick up current, in-demand titles that have been donated. You can find the Ongoing Book Sale along the wall opposite the circulation desk in the library at 2 Liberty Lane, Norfolk. Cash payments for the books can be placed in the money box in this area or you can now use Venmo! |
Fun Fact
Did you know that the funds raised at the Book Sale aren’t used to buy books for the library? Instead, the funds support a variety of programs and resources offered to the community through the library.
The Friends of the Norfolk Library recently purchased the new Self-Check-Out Machine to replace outdated technology. This is how membership in the Friends and books bought at our sale help our wonderful library.
